My Magnum Opus in process

When we fled New Orleans 6 years ago ahead of Hurricane Katrina, precious mementos were left behind. One was an alphabet quilt that I had made for my college girl when she was about 2 years old. A few weeks ago, I had the sudden inspiration to recreate this quilt. I designed and hand appliqued each square and stenciled on the letters. It's now almost ready for backing and quilting. I am so happy to see this quilt come to life again. It was such a fond childhood memory.
